HM HOST CASE STUDY

HMS Host International is a leading travel dining company, operating in over 100 airports worldwide including operating over 70 food and beverage shops in Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam many outlets open 24/7.

Challenge

To drive efficiencies in its cash management operations through the introduction of cash office automation to handle cash transacted by over 1,500 staff in food and beverage outlets across the airport. Whilst card payment is growing, 65% of transactions are cash. The handling of coin is a particular problem.

Solution

OCS worked closely with our partners at G4S Netherlands and HMS Host operations management team, to implement changes required to CASH360™ software to support the specific needs of the 24/7 HMS Host operational environment :

  • Enhance access security using magnetic stripe & key fob login to control access to authorised users
  • Integration with HMS Host HR systems to automate the synchronisation of user data
  • Dispense limit check across multiple installations using new Site Manager software for enhanced security
  • Installation Status Display – Deposit only / Dispense only to optimise cashier queuing time.

Following the successful deployment of multiple CASH360™ installations to secure cash offices around the airport, delivery of training and provision of on-going support.

Based on the success of the implementation of the CASH360™at Schipol, HMS Host have commenced with further roll out of the solution to Helsinki and Dublin airports.
